Choral Pilgrimage 2016 - The Deer's Cry

The 16th Choral Pilgrimage celebrates the work of William Byrd and Arvo Pärt, composers from very different eras, both of whom are considered masters of sacred music despite having faced considerable persecution for their work.

Although separated by over four centuries, the music of William Byrd and Arvo Pärt makes for a perfect match. Both spent many years facing adversity and both sought solace through their sacred music.

There will be a pre-concert talk starting at 7pm.
