Christingle

The Christingle service uses a special symbol, a decorated orange, to explore the story of God’s love for the world at Christmas.

This service is in support of the Children’s Society. 

Due to reduced capacity within the Cathedral, our Christingle service is ticketed this year. All tickets are free of charge, available using the booking system below. Ticket bookings are capped at 4 tickets within your household bubble.

On the day:

• Please enter via the Welcome Centre (Sumpter Yard, AL1 1BY).
• Everyone is required to wear a face-covering unless they have a medical exemption.
• Please be seated by 2.45 pm, and remain seated for the duration of the service.
• Please show your ticket on your smartphone upon arrival, or bring a printed copy of your ticket.
• Unfortunately, visitor parking is not available at St Albans Cathedral. Details of the closest city centre car parks are available on the St Albans City and District Council website.
