Tonight we present Clark’s own group, formed in January this year.  This is his latest incarnation of superb young talented musicians, deserving of a wider audience and a national platform.  The group has just released its debut CD entitled No Doubt and has already received critical acclaim for its live appearances at Ronnie Scott’s Club, Swanage Jazz Festival and the South Coast Jazz Festival.  In the ranks are the winner of the BBC’s Young Jazz Musician of the Year in 2017, Alex Ridout, while Sean Payne and Elliott Sansom were runners up in that competition.  Partly a celebration of Clark’s 40th year in jazz, this band is a credit to British jazz and the many years Clark has led his own ensembles featuring young stars of the future.
