M Festival Returns for its 7th year on Saturday 9th July!
Around 2500 people are expected to attend the return of one of the towns favourite music festivals this July. Hosted at The Marlborough Science Academy and now in its 7th year, the M Festival has raised over £30,000 for the school since it started in 2010. The Festival has built up a reputation of showcasing some great local talent and this year is certainly no exception with the addition of a brand new second stage.
Festival revellers will enjoy live music from local bands including; Tommy T and the BelleTones, Indi and the Vegas, Soulfish, Poet and the Beat, Late Day Breakers, Nick Stephenson, Rae Kelly, Echo Infirmary and Concrete Caverns as well as the best of the musical talent from students at Marlborough and other local primary schools.
As well as some great live music, the day will see lots of activities for the family to enjoy, including zorbing, face painting, bouncy castles, henna & glitter tattoos, hair braiding, jousting, rodeo bull, bungee run, fun photobooth, a caricaturist., balloon modelling, mini-pamper treatments and a new kids zone. Art, Drama and craft workshops will also be running throughout the day!
There are plenty of food and drink options too with a BBQ using fresh meat sourced locally, homemade vegetarian & ethnic foods, hog roast, chicken & chips, smoothies/shakes, ice creams, pancakes, beer, cider and PIMMS tents and a cake/tuck shop to name but a few.
The Festival is open to everyone in the community and gates open at 2:30pm on July 9th with live music from 3pm and our headliners on stage at 9:30pm. The festival goes out with a bang at 11:00pm with a fireworks finale!
