St Albans Race for Life

Race for life is the largest women only fundraising event in the UK. The St Albans event takes place in Verulamium Park, where over 3,000 women will come together and help raise money to beat cancer. Come along, walk, run, dance or sponsor. Why not enter with your friends and family? *PLEASE NOTE – Parking in Verulamium Park is very limited and you are strongly advised to use the city centre car parks.* Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life is a series of 5k or 10k women-only fundraising events, which are raising money for research to help beat all 200 types of cancer sooner.

Car parking: If you are arriving by car you are strongly advised not to use the car parks located within Verulamium Park as these can become very congested and have limited capacity. Any vehicles that park illegally may be subject to a Penalty Charge Notice. In order to avoid this we recommend that you use the multi storey car parks in St Albans City Centre which are located just a short walk away from the park itself. The link below provides details of the 2 multi storey car parks which are located in Drovers Way and Russell Avenue and have over 800 spaces. Please be aware that parking charges now apply on Sundays.
