The Skeltons [Country, 3 piece]

The Skeltons are an acoustic 3 piece, three vocals and two guitars. The band is a family unit (Holly, Laurie and Andy Skelton) that perform Country/Americana music with close harmonies. They have been featured several times on Danny Smith’s Verulam Radio, Drivetime Show.

2016:The story so far… On the plane to Nashville for a family holiday of live music and boot buying we met Jeff Cohen, an award winning songwriter and ex-Senior Director of BMI. After offering lots of tips on where to go and what to see, he invited us to a show he was playing with other award winning songwriters Brian White and Phil Barton at The Listening Room, Nashville.

The show was excellent. The three of them played a selection of successful songs they have written for various artists. Then towards the end of the evening Jeff mentioned how he had met ‘this family from England who sang together’ on the flight and invited us up to perform one of our own songs. Shocked and stunned and a few Budweisers down the road, we did our best. How could we say no!

We are looking forward to a return visit. This time rehearsed!
